___About PetKit___

Smarter care for the animal who can't ask for it directly.

We build feeders, fountains, and trackers that quietly handle the routine stuff—so the time you spend with your pet is actual time together, not just maintenance.

OUR STORY

It started with one overflowing food bowl.

PetKit didn't begin as a product roadmap. It began with a co-founder coming home late, again, to find an automatic feeder that had jammed hours earlier — and a cat who'd gone half a day without dinner because a $30 gadget couldn't tell the difference between "dispensing" and "stuck."

That gap between what pet tech promised and what it actually delivered became the founding brief: build devices reliable enough that owners stop checking on them. Not smarter for the sake of a feature list — smarter in the ways that actually reduce a pet's stress and an owner's mental load.

Today that brief hasn't changed much. Every feeder, fountain, and tracker we ship still has to answer one question before it goes anywhere near a factory line: if this fails silently at 2am, does the animal on the other end of it suffer for it? If the answer is yes, it goes back to engineering.

What We Hold Onto

Four things that don’t get cut when a deadline gets tight.

Pet-First Design

Every feature is tested against one question: does this measurably reduce stress for the animal, not just add a data point for the owner.

Built to Last

Hardware is rated for years of daily use, not just the length of the return window. If it breaks in year one, that’s a design failure on us.

Data You Control

Feeding and activity data belongs to you and your vet — exportable on request, never sold, never used to target ads back at you.

Support That Answers

A real person, not a bot loop, within minutes during business hours. Hardware fails sometimes; the response to it shouldn’t.

We’re a small team looking for people who obsess over the details.

If “does this reduce stress for the animal on the other end of it” sounds like a question you’d enjoy asking every day, we’re probably hiring.
